JOSEPH P. ABRAHAM, III
Insurance Attorney | Advocate for the Injured & Policyholders
Joseph Abraham is a seasoned insurance litigation attorney who has dedicated his career to holding insurance companies accountable when they fail to uphold their end of the bargain. With over 20 years of experience litigating complex insurance disputes, he has built a reputation for aggressive advocacy, strategic thinking, and an unwavering commitment to his clients.
Joseph began his legal career at a prominent defense firm, where he represented the Florida Insurance Guarantee Association (FIGA). There, he led a team of attorneys and played a key role in crafting a statewide litigation strategy in the aftermath of Hurricanes Wilma, Katrina, and Rita. This early experience gave him unique insight into how insurance companies operate—knowledge he now uses to advocate for policyholders.
Joseph has represented individuals, families, and business owners in a broad range of legal matters, including property damage insurance claims, personal injury, wrongful death, construction accidents, and condominium negligence. With a deep knowledge of insurance law and civil litigation, Joseph fights tirelessly to hold negligent parties and uncooperative insurers accountable. Whether his clients are facing the aftermath of a serious accident or the financial burden of property damage, Joseph provides clear guidance, aggressive representation, and unwavering support every step of the way.
Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan as a Regent Merit Scholar in 2002. After spending a year in Spain—where he became fluent in Spanish—he relocated to Miami and earned his law degree from St. Thomas University. He is licensed to practice in Florida and Illinois and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Joseph approaches every case with compassion, integrity, and a results-driven mindset. Outside the courtroom, Joseph is a devoted husband and father of three. He values time spent with family and service to others.
